There is something all of you don't know, for it came after your times. Napolean and the French took Spain, which was regained by King Ferdinand VII, but never again as you knew it. The masses in France caused a revolution which deposed the monarchy and in turn took its effects upon your great country. My dear peasant woman, there no better a painter at depicting this war that overtook your own country as Goya, your patron. The peasants fought with what they had, as well did the nobles, to fight the ruling French. You at one time had a common purpose and died valiantly fighting for it. Your common enemy sought the resources of all classes and narrowed the gap between them in honor for a short period of time.

Christ: This has to be the greatest lesson of all. I find myself listening, but knowing at the same time, that Spain was united at least by religion. There, Christianity reigned. It reigned with the King and was in the very breath of all the peasants alike. In Spain, I saw Catholicism as a way of life, you all lived it and lived through it. It regulated your very nature which is a glorification of me in every way.
